Old Oakhamian Stories |
Over the summer holidays, two OOs, two teachers, a current parent and Johnny's father cycled from Chamonix to Nice to raise money for the newly formed Johnny Reynolds Foundation.
Last December, Johnny Reynolds ('23) sadly passed away at the age of 19. The Reynolds family is starting a Foundation in Johnny’s memory. Their hope is to support children and young adults in reaching their potential in any sport, whatever the level.
The team is made up of Giles Houston (‘84), Lucas Deregowski (‘20); Iain Simpson, Head of Sports Partnerships; Ash Denman, Housemaster of Barrow; Alistair Weir, a current parent, and Charlie Reynolds, Johnny’s father, cycled 775 Kilometers and climbed 15,000m over 6 days.
They were supported on the road by Will Houston (‘22) and friends.
They are hoping to raise £10,000 by completing this incredible challenge. If you would like to donate to the Johnny Reynolds Foundation, you can do so here: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/TourdeJohnBoii2024?utm_id=2&utm_term=DGQPM3Bk3
