Old Oakhamian Stories |
Jim, who now lives in Preston, Lancashire has been recording the weather every day since he was a boy at Oakham School.
His interest peaked in 1957, when he was 14 Years old and a storm hit Rutland. His recordings also show the temperatures in Rutland during the 'Big Freeze of 1962 and 1963' when Jim was a boy at Oakham School, recording temperatures as low as -17C!
It is an incredible achievement that has been featured in BBC News, Lancashire.
