OO Events & Reunions |
The OO Club warmly welcomed around 60 Old Oakhamian’s to the 1960’s Reunion Lunch on Monday 30 June - the hottest day of the year so far!
Despite the blistering heat peers enjoyed reminiscing and reconnecting with former classmates over a beautifully prepared lunch and a glass or two in the Small Barroclough (which had not been built whilst they were here at Oakham School). After lunch those who wished were treated to a short tour of the school and the opportunity to catch the final few innings of a cracking school cricket match on Doncaster Close. They were intersted to hear from our Headmaster Henry Price about the Oakham School of today and furture plans.
Thank you to all who were able to join us. Hearing your memories of School life and seeing the letters, photographs, and keepsakes brought along made the day all the more special; a true celebration of shared history and enduring friendships.
Thank you also to our wonderful catering team for the beautiful lunch and to our photographer Andy Balmford for capturing some fabulous memories which you can find in the shared gallery below.
