An enjoyable and valuable evening was had by all at The Upper School Networking Evening on Friday 17 October 2025. The annual Oakham School event was attended by 55 upper school pupils and 13 Old Oakhamians who together shared an evening of stimulating conversations about the various career opportunities and pathways after leaving Oakham.

After a traditional School Dinner in the Barraclough the OOs met the pupils in the Small to begin their rounds of ‘speed meetings’. Three rounds and some free networking time later lead to insightful questions and conversations, honest structured advice and a camaraderie of people from different backgrounds, careers and interests sharing and swapping stories and or advice.

The attending OOs joined us from around the UK and were from legal, financial, business, insurance and mechanical engineering professions and our current OOs who attended greatly benefitted from the OOs sharing their knowledge and their journey since they left Oakham School.

A massive thank you to Mrs Fairley and Mr Kay, Head and Assistant Head of Upper School respectively, Oakham Upper School pupils and of course our OOs for without you, this event is not possible!
