We were delighted to welcome back 14 Old Oakhamians and their families and friends to Doncaster Close for Tom Wheeler's Past President's Day.
"..A huge thanks to the school, particularly the groundskeeping staff, for opening up Doncaster Close for a brilliant day of social but friendly competion for OOs and their families under blue skies. The wicket and grounds were pristine and even better than we recalled from playing all those years ago. It was an absolute privilege to spend an afternoon in the middle with old and new friends as well as enjoying great hospitality on the boundary and in the superb pavilion.
Huge thanks to all those who came to support, especially those who played two short format matches - Cricket and Oakhamian spirit were, of course, the winners on the day...
We would love to do it again if the school will have us and keen to hear of OOs interested in playing and bringing together a few of their peers. The sun shone and it was wonderful to be back on Doncaster close enjoying some of the best of Oakham School's many great experiences.."
