As usual, a number of OO's were present at Bisley to support the school on the final day of the School's Meeting, Ashburton Day, on 13th July, and take part in the Veterans Teams matches.

After celebrating two significant Ashburton-winning anniversaries in 2022 (the 1966 and 1987 wins), it was a smaller band of OO's who attended and fielded two teams this year.

The "A" team came a respectable 15th out of 47 entrants, and the "B" team came 18th out of 38. Those who represented the OO's this year were: Andy Brockhurst, Matt Button, Adam Chidlow, Chris Clarkson, Rob Ears, David Eckles, Peter Molesworth, Jonathan Root and Rick Shouler.

The day ended in its customary sociable way with an excellent BBQ hosted by Ginney Measures.

In March an OO team took part in the Winter 22 postal competition for the Lionel Fletcher Cup, and the team of Matt Button, Adam Chidlow, Rob Eayrs, David Epton, and Rick Shouler were placed 5th.

Rick Shouler is also a member of the Great Britain Team to the World Championships in South Africa next March. With Matt Button is a reserve for that team, and Rob Eayrs is a reserve for the GB Veterans team.
